Welcome to Knotty Nantwich — where every knot is tied with care, patience, and a whole lot of heart.
I'm Nita Jain, the artist, maker, and founder behind the brand. Creativity has been woven into my life for as long as I can remember — as a child, I loved making and selling handmade scrapbooks, always finding joy in creating something beautiful from scratch.
My journey with macramé began when I watched a friend's mother craft stunning pieces from simple cords. I was captivated — by the meditative rhythm of knotting, the natural textures, the quiet beauty of something made entirely by hand. I knew I had to learn it myself.
That spark became Knotty Nantwich in June 2024. What started as a personal passion quickly grew into something much more — a creative community. From selling at local artisan markets and Cheshire boutiques, to running workshops for adults looking for a mindful creative outlet, to bringing macramé into schools as an after-school club where I've had the joy of watching children discover their own love of making.
Every piece I create — from wall art and plant hangers to lampshades and keychains — is made with intention, using natural materials and honest craftsmanship. My mission is simple: to bring warmth, texture, and handmade beauty into your home and your community, one knot at a time.
